Charitable Support Provided in 2020

In acknowledgment of the global coronavirus pandemic, in addition to severe, life-threatening climatic disasters in different parts of the world, the focus of the Andreas Moritz Light Trust in 2020 was on providing time-sensitive financial assistance to orphanages for basic, life-sustaining necessities, including daily food provisions and other critically important operational and safety requirements.

Adonai Child Rehabilitation

Over the past two years, the Andreas Moritz Light Trust has provided funding to this orphanage for major structural repairs and operational upgrades, which enabled them to better and more safely care for their orphans, plus support several additional children without parents. During this unprecedented year, crucial funding was provided to bolster strained operating budgets for essential food, education, holistic wellness and other vital needs.

Viet Nam

In previous years, funding was provided for the creation and installation of water filtration systems in different Vietnamese orphanages-in-need. In the summer of 2020, months of devastating floods ravaged many orphanages. In light of this, urgently-needed funding was provided to assist in all-important damage repair, recovery and restoration efforts of severely impacted orphanages.

Charitable Donations

Your contribution will give children without parents opportunities for a brighter future. We want you to know that we are very conscientious about keeping administrative costs to an absolute minimum. In fact, over 99% of the charitable donations received are directed toward projects supporting the children.

All charitable donors (individuals, groups, companies and organizations) will receive a receipt from the Andreas Moritz Light Trust, a non-profit foundation with 501(c)(3) designation in the USA, that a bona fide tax-deductible charitable donation has been made in the USA and, therefore, can be applied to one’s tax return in the USA (acknowledged by the Internal Revenue Service as a legitimate charitable deduction).

Since we are not aware of the specific rules or policies that apply to tax-deductible charitable contributions in other countries (outside of the USA), we recommend that you please consult with your tax advisor or accountant for insight into this for the country in which you live.
